Decades of Law Enforcement Expertise: With nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience, Pete Luna is a retired Texas Ranger who has dedicated his life to ensuring the safety, justice, and well-being of the community. Deep Family Roots: Luna’s family has strong ties to Fort Bend County, dating back to the 1940s, giving him a deep understanding of the area’s history and values.
Educational Background: Luna is a proud graduate of Katy High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston, bringing both local knowledge and academic qualifications to the table. Extensive Career: Luna’s career includes significant roles in the Fort Bend County Adult Probation Department and an impressive 13-year tenure as a distinguished Texas Ranger, where he specialized in various criminal investigations, including officer-involved incidents and border security efforts.

I have spent a significant portion of my life, and law enforcement career serving Fort Bend County. I have a deep love for this county and all its people, and the future of Fort Bend County matters greatly to me. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of this primary and the need to safeguard Fort Bend County’s future. We can and will do better!

Work Experience:
- Current Judge 268th District Court years private practice attorney in Criminal Defense, Civil Rights, Family Law, and Personal Injury.
- Experienced criminal and civil trial attorney, having represented, and /or defended, every level of case from murder to shoplifting, divorce to child custody, and employment discrimination to police misconduct.
- Two (2) years as your Senior Trial Division Attorney at Fort Bend County Public Defender’s Office.
- Nearly nine 9 years experience in law enforcement, holding firm to principles of fairness for all.
- Proud veteran United States Air Force.
